Oscar Umar graduated from Right to Dream in 2008, having secured a student athlete scholarship to Kent School in Connecticut, USA.
At Kent, he made a major impact on the soccer program; in 2008 he led the Kent School to its first playoff appearance in more than two decades; in 2009 and ’10, he led the Kent School to the New England finals and as a senior in 2010, he was an all-state pick in Connecticut and was a three time WNEPSSA choice.
The combination of his soccer talent and strong academic performance enabled Oscar to secure a scholarship to play Division 1 soccer at Villanova University in Pennsylvania, where he majored in Economics.
A gifted ball distributor with a knack for creating scoring opportunities for his teammates, Oscar became the senior leader of the Villanova Wildcats.
Having graduated in May 2015 with a degree in Economics, Oscar secured his first job with multinational technology and consulting company, IBM, as a Business Analyst.
