Mohammed Abu

Mohammed Abu graduated from Right to Dream Academy in 2010 having secured a professional contract with English Premier League Champions, Manchester City FC. He was immediately loaned to Norwegian club, Strømsgodset, where he made his professional debut and helped win the Norwegian FA Cup in his first season.

The Accra-born midfielder had further loan spells with German side, Eintracht Frankfurt, Spanish side, Rayo Vallecano, and French side FC Lorient. In 2014, Abu joined Norwegian side, Strømsgodset again, this time on a permanent deal.

Abu has achieved significant milestones for Right to Dream, made his first senior appearance for the Black Stars in October 2011, in a 0–0 friendly draw against Nigeria. In December 2011, he was named to the Ghana national team provisional 25-man squad for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations and in January 2012 he was selected for the tournament’s 23-man squad.
