New Leadership Programme Introduced, Leadership Positions Announced
This term, students at the Right to Dream Academy were given the opportunity to apply for six positions of responsibility (to be held for the 2009-2010 school year); boys from the Lower and Middle Classes could apply to be one of four Academy Prefects (Water, Dining, Studies and Compound), while boys from the Upper Class could apply to be the Academy Captain or Vice-Captain. Over 25 boys applied and interviewed for the positions, and the following students have been selected for their exceptional leadership skills and potential:
· Academy Captain: Joshua Yaro
· Academy Vice-Captain: Moro Mohammed
· Water Prefect: Enock Kwakwa
· Dining Prefect: Divine Naah
· Studies Prefect: Jeff Acheampong
· Compound Prefect: Francis Takyi
In addition to taking on more responsibility within the Academy, students contributed to class-run leadership projects throughout the term. The Lower Class hosted a Talent Show, the Middle Class organized Sports Day, and the Upper Class put on a Football Tournament for four young football teams from the local village.
Congratulations, boys! Right to Dream has been impressed by the initiative you have taken and maturity you have shown—the staff has high expectations for the next academic term.
